Fallen Condition

We are slaves to the fear of rejection and the craving for approval. A few people’s opinions carry enormous weight, and without realizing it we let them rule our lives; shrinking, performing, and comparing to win a verdict we can never secure.

Solution in Christ

On the cross Jesus bore the rejection we feared most: “My God, why have you forsaken me?” so that in Him we are justified: declared approved, loved, and clothed in His perfect record. When the Father looks at us, He sees Christ. Resting in that finished verdict, we no longer need anyone’s approval, and we are free to live for God’s pleasure out of joy, not fear.

Vision for The Grove

The Grove to live as a community of sons and daughters who fear no one’s rejection and crave no one’s applause. Free from the lust for admiration and validation, with nothing to prove, we love God and love one another from that freedom; free and fully alive.
