Your first Sunday, step by step
Walking into a new church shouldn't feel like a test. Here's exactly what to expect.

Check in the kids
Grove Kids has a quick check-in near the entrance. Five classes by age, background-checked volunteers, and a safety team member watching over the whole Grove Kids area. Your kids will probably ask to come back.
Find a seat
Grab a coffee, sit anywhere. Music with lyrics that mean something, a sermon that takes your questions seriously, and a text-in Q&A after the sermon. About an hour and 15 to an hour and a half.

What kind of church is this?
The Grove is a church in Port St. Lucie where believers and skeptics wrestle honestly with faith and doubt. That's not a slogan we put on the wall and forget. It means you can come with questions you've never been allowed to ask out loud, and nobody will flinch.
You won't be asked to stand up, raise your hand, or pretend to believe something you're not sure about. If you've been away from church for years, or were never there to begin with, you'll be in good company. And if you've followed Jesus for decades, don't expect to coast. We take making space for the skeptic just as seriously as challenging the most mature Christian to keep growing in Christ.
After the sermon each week, there's a time of Q&A. Text in your question during the service, the honest ones and the hard ones, and hear it answered that same morning.
One more honest note: we're currently renting our space on SW Bethany Drive while we look for our permanent home. The building is borrowed; the community isn't.
Bringing kids?
Grove Kids offers five classes from birth through 5th grade. Every volunteer passes a thorough background check. No child is ever alone with a single adult out of view: every room has two volunteers or full window visibility, and a member of our safety team monitors the Grove Kids area throughout the morning. Check-in takes about a minute.
Questions people actually ask
I'm not sure I believe. Can I still come?
Yes. The Grove exists for believers and skeptics alike. You won't be asked to pretend to believe anything you're not sure about. Honest questions are welcome here. They're kind of our thing.
Will I be singled out as a visitor?
No. You won't be asked to stand, raise your hand, or wear a name tag. Come, sit, observe, and take it at your own pace.
My wife wants to come more than I do. Will that be weird?
No. You won't be the only one in the room who came reluctantly. Some of the people who love this church most walked in with their arms crossed.
What time are Sunday services?
Sundays at 10 AM at 551 SW Bethany Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34986. The service usually lasts an hour and 15 minutes to an hour and a half.
What should I wear?
Whatever you're comfortable in. You'll see everything from shorts and sandals to Sunday best. Come as you are. We mean that.
Is there something for my kids?
Yes. Grove Kids offers five classes by age (birth through 5th grade) with quick check-in and background-checked volunteers. Every room has two volunteers or full window visibility, and a safety team member monitors the Grove Kids area throughout the morning.

Do you have your own building?

We'd love to know you're coming
Tell us you're planning a visit and we'll save you the awkward parts. We'll meet you at the door, help with kids check-in, and answer anything you're wondering about. Most people think about visiting a church for months before they actually do. You can just come.
